Losing Your Hair Daily?
Daily hair loss can be caused due to certain reasons. Hair thinning is natural, as one gets older. Some people suffer hair loss due to genetics. The genes responsible for the loss of hair are inherited from the mother to the child.
Hair is made up of proteins, fats and minerals. The deficiency of protein also leads to thinning of hair, which gradually results in daily hair fall. This is especially found common in women as women tends to take low fat and low protein food.
Stress is also a major reason behind hair loss. Besides stress some other reason of hair loss are infectious disease, lack of vital nutritional supplements, usage of harmful artificial hair care products etc. But every type of hair loss is not a serious problem as normal shedding of hair is required for normal hair re-growth. Around 100 hairs are lost from our head every day. Generally there are around 100,000 hairs in a scalp. Hair loss is a cause for concern for both men and women regardless of the popular notion that only women cherish their hair as an asset.
There are two types of normal hair shedding. The first type involves shedding of hair randomly after attaining the telogen phase of the hair growth. The telogen cycle is also known as the resting phase of hair growth cycle. Telogen phase starts right after the catagen phase. Generally this phase lasts for about one hundred days. This cycle helps our hair to stay rooted on our scalp. According to scientists it’s quite necessary to shed some hair at this phase for hair re-growth.
Aging brings about the other normal cause of hair shedding. It is quite normal to lose hair with increasing age. In fact, genetics also play an important role in hair loss with increasing age even though some people start losing hair at an early age. This type of premature hair loss is a serious concern and in medical terminology it is known as pattern baldness or androgentic alopecia. Generally men are more prone to androgenitic alopecia compared with women. The affect of age on hair loss is much visible in case of women. Menopause is one of the major reasons for increase in hair loss in women other than pregnancy. The hormonal imbalance is the reason behind the loss of hair after pregnancy but this change is temporary and normalcy is attained in a short while.
