Biotin and Hair Loss

Moreover, in terms of the egg yolk, the ability to digest and assimilate by our body decreases with high level of protein intake. Biotin can bind easily to proteins, making it unavailable to the body, which in turn causes biotin deficiency and eventually hair loss.

Biotin is widely distributed in a variety of foods though in small quantity. Some of the foods, which contain biotin in higher quantity, are like liver and egg yolk. Biotin is also found in green peas, oats, soybeans, walnuts, brown rice, sunflower seeds etc. The biotin content in food varies and can be influenced by certain factors such as plant variety and the season in which it is planted.
